What is the IP Geolocation Search?
This IP geolocation search is made to help you quickly find the physical location of an IP address or domain name. It displays on OpenStreetMap with additional whois information. The data comes from MaxMind and multiple whois databases. You can figure out who sent you an email, or you can figure out who posted a message to your blog. Also, you can add a tag to the geo location map from the result of search. you can search your tag on the tag search page

Enter the IP address or hostname, then click the search button. Show the detailed information about the IP address in the lower left, you will see a blue maker on the map.

What is a IP address?
An IP address is an assignment number that uniquely identifies public servers or network nodes on the internet; they are the only addresses that that are routable. These assignments are distributed to internet service providers in address ranges by IANA (otherwise known as The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) which controls ownership of these IP ranges. To be considered public, an IPv4 address must fall outside of the range of a private address.
